There’s nothing like a good old
wine in a good old wine glass. It just doesn’t make you feel better, it tastes
better too. So if you’re one of those wine fellows who just love a good wine
and want to try something new, try stemless wine glasses.
Stemless
wine glasses, also called as wine tumblers, are beautiful and a unique element
to your table top or dining table. They go beyond the traditional stemmed wine
glasses and are ideal for everyday use or for any occasion. You can serve
either red or white wine, even juice.
Although for
some this may seem to be something new, stemless wine glasses have been around
for a long time. This is what Italians use to serve their wines. This also
makes great wedding or party favors since they can be personalized or
monogrammed. When you purchase one, they usually come as a pair. You can select
from different diameters, height, and ounces. Another good thing about stemless
wine glasses is that they are dishwasher safe.
Before
deciding to own a set, let’s look first at the good points and the bad points.
A good point of stemless wine glasses is that they look cool and is something
new to the table. Because they don’t have stems, this means that you can’t hang
them as a means of storage. However, stemless wine glasses will still provide
easy storage since they will fit in any standard sized cupboard. What’s more,
you get less breakage and fewer spills. Now for the bad point, a true wine
connoisseur might argue that using stemless wine glasses is simply not the proper
way to drink wine. That’s because you aren’t supposed to be holding the glass
by the bowl since this will affect the temperature of the wine and thus, its
flavor. Another thing is that you’ll end up having too many fingerprints in
your glass which results to not being able to clearly see the wine.
But
nevertheless, stemless wine glasses are just a beautiful addition to your
dining table. And when you’re in the company of good friends, fine food, and a
delightful conversation, you surely wouldn’t mind if the wine is served in
stemless wine glasses because you will surely enjoy it.
